A Quick Update

I've been noticing lots of new hits on this page lately, which I'm assuming is due to some new circulation of my business cards (which have this web address on them).  I wanted to just post a quick update for those of you wondering why I haven't been posting much recently.  It's not that I haven't been booking new sessions - I have actually had lots of sessions since my last one posted here... I just haven't been posting them here on this blogsite.  However, please visit my Facebook page to view all of the sneak peeks and current promotions, etc.

So why haven't I been posting here?  I'm currently researching switching over to a new (better) site and I figure it will be easier to transfer less than more, so I've been holding off on lots of posts recently.  I've not had as much time to devote to implementing this switch as I'd have hoped, though, so I may add some new posts here in the meantime, I haven't totally decided yet.

So please, bare with me as I work through the implementation of my new website.  And be sure to check out my Facebook page for all the latest and greatest!

Charlie {Hartland Senior Photographer}

This is my gorgeous cousin, Charlie.  I was thrilled and honored when she asked me to take her senior pictures.  We went out to her grandpa's property for the shoot and had a great time.  We had beautiful light for much of the shoot and then all of a sudden it was a race against the setting sun.  We managed to fit in a few last shots of Charlie wearing my cousin Jason's (her uncle) sno-cross jacket and moto-cross jersey.  For those that don't know, Jason passed away in 2008, so these are very special.

Bianca {Grand Haven Senior Photographer}

I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful high school senior at the end of October in Grand Haven.  Again, I relied on Bianca and her mom to select the location since I'm not as familiar with the Grand Haven area.  They selected a park in Nunica and again it was a great location... an old barn, fallen leaves, old/big trees, tall grasses, and the woods... it was perfect for a senior shoot!  We had beautiful light, too.

Not only is Bianca beautiful, she was a lot of fun, too.  She's been dancing ballet for much of her life, so we did some shots with her toe shoes, which was especially fun!  Bianca has so much going for her and I wish her the best in college and in life!

SHP Facebook Page

I'm not always the best at keeping the blog up to date with my latest work.  So please "Like" my page on Facebook to stay updated on the latest and greatest.  I will be announcing some great new programs within days!

Jeff, Dawn & Natalia {Grand Haven Family Photographer}

At the end of October, I made a trip to Grand Haven for a couple of photo sessions.  Not being from Grand Haven, I relied on Dawn to select the location for their family photo shoot.  She did a wonderful job and picked an absolutely beautiful place!  She also picked some great outfits.  I love the blue and green color combo and the camouflage is a perfect representation of their family, as they love to spend time outdoors.  The camo also reflects Jeff's love for hunting.  I enjoyed hearing lots of his hunting stories and of the places he has been to hunt all sorts of different animals.  I've never been hunting myself, but am always so fascinated by the sport.  Natalia is a gorgeous gal and was a great model, even though she was freezing.  :)  What a great family!

Sean, Lina, Vayla... and a Baby Announcement!! {Williamston Family Photographer}

This is my good friend, Lina, and her family.  Aren't they a great looking fam?  Her daughter, Vayla, is such a beauty and such a girlie-girl.  She was so great about posing for the camera.  It was raining during the shoot, though, and got a little chilly outside.  So we headed inside for a few shots, where Vayla was so excited for me to meet her two kitties.  Vayla is also very excited that she will be a big sister come April!!  Congratulations again, Lina, Sean and Vayla!!  I cannot wait to meet your little girl this spring!!

Mike, Jenna, Wyatt, Estelle, Jim & Bev {Grand Blanc Family Photographer}

This is another of my October families that I had the privilege of photographing.  I just love the color combos that Jenna came up with for everyone!  Isn't it great?  I love the purple, blue, and pops of golden yellow.  So gorgeous!

These photos were taken as a Christmas gift for Jenna's parents, Jim and Bev.  We were also commemorating Estelle's first birthday!  She was so stinkin' cute!  She would do a lizard tongue on command which was simply adorable.  Her big brother Wyatt was a handsome guy and a great big brother.
